Caroline has worked for 33 years in Education and 24 years in Educational Leadership, currently in her 11th year of Headship (2015-present) at Heathfield Community College, a high-achieving rural 11-18 comprehensive school in East Sussex.

Caroline also serves as co-chair of Headteachers Roundtable a non-political think tank of practicing headteachers and CEOs that has lobbied and consulted on education policy since 2012. Committed to developing educational leadership Caroline facilitates the NPQH for Ambition Institute (since 2019) and is a member of DfE Secondary Headteachers Reference Group among other DfE engagement through working groups and research, including developing the Digital Standards.

Following evidence submitted to the APPG and Education Select Committee on Men and Boys showing sustained closure of the gender gap in achievement, Caroline will co-lead and launch the Sussex Boys Impact Hub later this year, alongside the University of Sussex.
