Session Descriptions

General Session:

From high male suicide rates to boys’ relative lack of attainment; from male youth unemployment to harmful online influencers; from the number of men in prison to the challenges of being a dad today; these are just some of the issues facing men and boys in the UK. This panel discussion with UK parliamentarians and experts will discuss what policies need to be in place to address these challenges.

Men’s Health Session:

From record rates of male suicide, obesity and alcohol deaths to large gaps in life expectancy based on where you live and work; these are just some of the health issues facing men. This panel discussion with leading parliamentarians and experts will discuss the impact of the men's health strategy and what more policies are needed to address these challenges.

Boys’ Education Session:

From boys’ lack of attainment to high numbers of young male NEETs; high school exclusions to concerns about boys’ engagement; these are just some issues facing young men and boys. This panel discussion will explore the policies needed to address these challenges, including the UK's first ever Boys' Education Commission.
